I pity anyone who thinks the salvation experience is a charade or the young guy/lady who feels being born again is boring and a lack of enjoyment. Oops! That kind of person must be out of network. Probably the fellow is just churchy and has not been able to experience God or have a mutual relationship with Him. That was why king David said, taste and see that the Lord is good. The taste is in the pudding. Until you come close, you just see from afar and you may have a blurred vision at that and whenever you don’t hear from the right source, then the information may be incorrect.
It is quite amazing when some of us young ones want to experiment with some social vices simply because, our close associates and the wrong role models we have are doing such a thing. We are sometimes fooled to believing that all that glitters is gold. If only we’ll make out time to look intimately into the lives of some of our so called celebrities, we’ll discover that they are in a mess. I mean complete mess but, since we see what is outside, we believe the fellow does not have any challenge. How green we are!
Some of us believe we are being restricted by our parents, guardians or the church so, we want freedom. Like some of us would say, we want a feel of the action. In other words, we want to know what life is as an unbeliever or should I say, a disobedient child! Some of us want to go clubbing, partying, live a life full of lies and experiment with pre-marital sex.
Now, for some of us who have been there and are now in the fold, we know that there is no other way than that which God had outlined for us through His holy manual. We have a lot of hostilities when we cross God’s border line.
A young lady who had been a church girl all her life wanted to have a feel of the outside world, so she packed out of the house and followed an artiste who was struggling with so many issues. Drawn by her lust and the desire for fame, she was cowed by the lordship of this guy and he was able to batter her and impregnate her. When she came back to her senses, she told the guy that her father had always told her she was a king’s kid and he had never lied to her. But this guy had lied to her severally.
If you love yourself and you want joy and peace, the best way to have this is to remain connected to your source who is God Himself. You may have challenges, still pitch your tent with God and His ways because those trials of faith are meant to sharpen you and make you more refined. Oh! It is not easy to go through trials but tarry there because you know you will definitely see the light at the end of that tunnel.
If you want your skin to glow all the time, you better stay connected to your root which is the almighty because, if you decide to break the gate when you are not supposed to, you can be rest assured that enough beaten, shame, pain and reproach awaits you.
Are you going through a tough time, do you feel God has forgotten you? Still stay on His side because that is the best way. If you disconnect from your root then, your source of power, inspiration, glory and many more will be gone and guess what, you will wither. I know you don’t want your leaves to wither, then, stay connected to God who is the sure root anyone can have.
