Triplets crown 20 years delay

This testimony will challenge you to trust the God of all impossibilities

For the Oladeles, a journey that started in 1991 on a good note with lots of promises soon resulted into anticipation, anxiety, weeping and finally a divine turn around when Mrs. Bodunrin Oladele, a director of accounts with the Lagos State Ministry of Home Affairs and Culture was finally delivered of a set of Triplets in year 2011 at Royal Hospital, Ojodu Lagos.

IN THE BEGINNING
We got married in May, 1991, but after about two years of marriage without any sign of pregnancy, my husband, Pastor Abimbola Oladele and I went to see Pastor E. A. Adeboye about our plight and he said, “Don’t worry, you will come with your children.” After two years again, nothing happened we went back to the man of God but he emphasized again that we should hold on that our children will come. That was how we kept waiting and praying that God would do it.

CHALLENGES
It was indeed not a palatable experience because I sometimes weep wondering what the problem was especially when my monthly period surfaced again each month. I looked back into my life to check were I missed it but did not see any. I had pressure from friends and close associates to try other means apart from just praying but I refused.

About two years ago, a friend came up with a suggestion. She told me there was a white Garment Church I could go to for a solution. I just smiled and told her I was more than that. I went further to tell her not to worry because God will prove himself when it is time and he did. I even told her I was going to have a testimony.

Another unpleasant experience I had was when people look down on me because; I have not got it and believe that my Christianity is not complete. Some even wonder what is happening after many years. Sometimes when I counsel people with children, I begin to wonder what is happening to me. But all along I believed in God that He will be faithful to His word.

ASSURANCE
I really thank God for His faithfulness because when I am down, He would either send someone to encourage me or He will give me a verse of the scriptures to lift me up. This often calmed me and I knew that God was working things out. I had a particular vision that I can’t forget. When I clocked 40 some years ago, I saw a vision where I saw myself carrying a set of twins and I was praying. It was so real, but all of a sudden, it vanished and the waiting continued.

God also ministered to me that Hannah went to Shiloh. As I was pondering on what that meant, Pastor Adeboye announced the introduction of Shiloh hour in camp which I began to attend.

DOCTOR’S REPORT
Medically, the only thing all the tests we ran revealed was, low sperm count for my husband.

THE MIRACLE
To the glory of God, I became pregnant miraculously without any fertility drug in 2010. But when I was six weeks gone, I had problem with the pregnancy and we wrote again to Pastor Adeboye who assured us that, we should not bother ourselves that we were going to have a testimony. God intervened and we kept praying.

I was delivered of a set of triplets in my late forties on June 3rd, 2011 at Royal Hospital Ojodu, Lagos. God blessed us with a girl and two boys.

Pastor Abimbola Johnson Oladele
I am a retired chief accountant from the Federal Civil Service and currently a zonal Pastor in RCCG Ogun Province 4. My anxiety was heightened when I was transferred from the Unity Family in Lagos to Enugu. The first time I got to Enugu, this issue of delay in the fruit of the womb gave me a lot of concern because my wife was not with me. I was really bothered.

However, in year 2007, I had a vision where I was complaining and I told God that I had everything except children. Afterwards, I saw Pastor Adeboye who handed two new coins to me; God appeared and used His servant as a contact. So, I knew God had answered that prayer but then, I had to wait again for about four years before we saw the miracle vividly.

The names of the children are Joy, Joel and Joshua

Do it now!

Do you have an idea of how the problem in your family, school, organization, community, school fellowship, nation etc should be dealt with? Then, you are the one everyone has been waiting for all these while. Do you think you can effect a change where you are? If your answer is in the affirmative, then, you are the candidate everyone has been expecting all along. The best you can do to help yourself and the people around you is to birth that idea now. If not, the consequence may not be only enormous, but an eternal loss.

When Dr. Ben Carson, an American neurosurgeon and the Director of Pediatric Neurosurgery at Johns Hopkins Hospital, Baltimore, wanted to separate the Binder twins who were joined at the head and shared part of the same brain in 1987, many felt it would be an impossible mission, since previous operations to separate twins joined in this way had always failed, resulting in the death of one or both of the infants.

With all the odds staring at him, Dr. Carson, after series of tests and consultative meetings with his team, carried out the operation and it was a huge success which transformed him, his career and his organization. That singular operation brought fame to Carson, freedom and joy to the parents of the conjoined twins. It also brought hope to many who were in such dilemma.

Most of the time, when we talk about giving, many people believe we are talking about money. However, giving is far beyond our legal tender; it includes giving the ideas, talents, and every good thing that makes you.  This is more edifying than giving a sum of money which may never go anywhere in bringing about a relief to the affected party.

For example, if you have a thought on how a crisis should be resolved or you have an answer to a difficult state of affairs and you refuse to share it with others, it is pointing you to one direction, you are selfish.

When we have an idea and we keep it to ourselves for no just reason, then we are self centred. Life becomes dynamic and quite interesting when we share our dreams with humanity. Before the television became visible, it first came as an idea to someone. It was after much thought was given to it that the fellow began to work on it and before long, television was invented and uncountable numbers of people have benefitted from this innovation.

One now wonders why anyone would know the way out and choose to die with that knowledge. I don’t know if you have heard someone say this to your hearing, “I know how to solve this problem, but am just waiting.” Waiting for what? Don’t you know that time waits for no one. Believe you me, while you stand or sit at your tarry gate, many lives might be lost while things may go out of hand, oh! You’ve got to bring about the solution now! Do it now because tomorrow may just be too late.

Are you ready to start that project, then, it’s time for action. Never wait till you have every resource within your disposal, just go ahead with the few you have. You may falter a bit, but you’ll sure get there. Do you want to pick that form for your academic pursuit; you need to hold a business meeting, then, go ahead. Don’t delay again, you have wasted enough time. You may think you are young, but time is not on your side because someone who is younger than you is somewhere doing exploits to transform this world for better. What are you waiting for? Come on, do it now!

A REVIEW OF TAKE A STEP

TITLE:             TAKE A STEP
AUTHOR:      BUKONLA AKINWANDE
PAGES:          157
PUBLISHER: ABTAKEVIC VENTURES
YEAR:             2010
REVIEWER:   YUSUF RUFA’I

In one of her many giant steps in life, Bukonla Akinwande has in a  very thorough  and well researched book shown us how to take those crucial and meaningful steps in life.

If you are one person who has or is being bugged down with confusion in life; if you are one person who thought or still thinks you will never make it in life; if you are one person who believed you will make it but never knew  the area  to make an imprint and impact in life; if you are one person who is constantly damn broke and wonders where the finances to implement your king size dreams would come from and if you are one person who dreamed of the external influence, that is, the divine push or in Bukonla’s words, ‘’The God Factor’’ to rub off on you; then you had better lay your hands on TAKE A STEP - Bukonla’s quintessential addition on having a purpose driven life and time on earth.

It is not enough to have the book in your kitty, you must meticulously and slowly digest every page of the book for it to have that deep impression on you and of course your steps in life.

Bukonla says that, if God could take that one memorable step that dispelled darkness and birthed all of creation that we see and do not see, then it behooves us, to not be afraid to take that one major step that would change our lives for good forever.

Light In Darkness, the book’s first chapter tells us that when our mind is clustered with darkness in the form of confusion, disillusionment and despair, just one word from God, as He speaks to our hearts will bring the light that will send darkness scurrying away. In other words, Bukonla is telling us that starting with God is the first step to take in any journey in life.

Many have not made appreciable progress in life because they have and keep running themselves down with their mouth. The power in the tongue is unquantifiable – it can build and destroy. It can trigger into motion and bring to a halt many processes. Be wise as regards how you use your tongue and learn to speak life and hope into your life or circumstances. You can never go wrong with that. This is the kernel in Encourage Yourself – the book’s fourth chapter.

As it is often said, “When you fail to plan, you plan to fail.” When projects of whatever form are qualitatively and speedily executed, it is because good planning was initially carried out. Planning is also an onerous task, because it involves tasking our brain, all of our faculties. It is deep thinking! In chapter thirteen, we are let into the whole gamut of planning.

The other twelve chapters are what I call roadmaps to taking the steps that would make light illuminate your darkness. With these chapters, the author did justice to the subject in question.

Bukonla’s diligence and passion as encapsulated in this piece – Take A Step shows her willingness to pour out herself for the development and advancement of  bright minds.

This is  a book that will  be immensely beneficial to people from all walks of life irrespective of any known divide, of course the attendant benefits that will accrue to society as a result of minds and lives that are shaped by the ‘’thoughts’’ in the book cannot be over emphasized.

Have you heard?

I once shared with us, how I was invited by a children teacher to teach the teenagers in her church on how to write tracts. Although these children lived in a deplorable environment, God nevertheless gave them talents so that, in the midst of that unfriendly environment, they could still put up a tract with just a little assistance by me. God is indeed awesome as I cannot forget those children and their exploit in a hurry. This is the second tract produced by them which they actually used during their door to door evangelism and crusade.

Hi teen,

Do you know there is a land where all the streets are made of Gold? Do you know there is land where there is no night? Surprised! I'll tell you more. Do you know there is a land where the people there never grow old, where there will be no more weeping and pain but only rejoicing?

Yes. That place is called Heaven. It is a place where God. Jesus, angels are right now. It is where the throne of God is located and from where, He sees everything happening here on earth.

Wow! Won't you like to be there! I mean the place where you will see God, the creator of heaven and earth who knows what is happening to you right now.

Well, I want you to know that you need a passport to get to this land (heaven). That passport is you accepting Jesus into your life.

You need to ride on Jesus to get to this place. How? You must confess your sin to Jesus and ask him to wash them away, and be Lord over your life. You must acknowledge that you have offended God. Tell Jesus how you have wrong him and ask Him to forgive you.

BE ENCOURAGED…..GOD CAN FIX IT

Some years ago, one of my loved ones came on a visit. After some useful discussions, I asked after a lady and I was told she had menstrual pain, so I sent my greetings to her.

After some days, I asked after this same lady and I was told she had menstrual pain. Haba! I asked myself one question, how many days would she use for her monthly period?

One day, the lady came to me and I asked her the question bothering me. I was surprised at the answer she gave, because she told me her monthly period runs for nine days! I was thrown off balance because I had never heard of that before. The lady in question has a very small physique that I wondered what would be left of her if she had to give all that blood away for nine days with terrible pains.

I then put forward the idea of praying about this issue which she consented to. I asked her to tell me how many days she would want to use for her monthly period; would you like four or five days, I asked?

We then declared a day of fasting and prayer and we came to God with this issue. She told God the days she wanted to use for her menstrual period and we agreed together in prayers.

Miraculously, the next month, God almighty corrected the flow and reduced it to the exact days the lady asked for when we prayed. Ever since, it has been like that. God is awesome in all His ways.

I may not know what you are going through, but I know a God who can fix it for you. Are you depressed, hurt, afraid, hopeless, whatsoever it may be, key in to God and He will fix it for you.

His word says, He is able to do exceedingly, abundantly, above all that we ask or think through the power that works in us. He can do beyond what you think.

Why not tell Jesus about it. I am very sure that God can fix it for you if you leave it at the foot of the cross. Just trust Him and He will do it for you. Take it to Him.
